| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Tapa Having A Saturday Morning Rest1277 viewsTapa and Kiko both love the couch --- sleeping on it, walking on it, licking it. Here's Tapa having a bit of a Saturday morning lie in, with his head comfortably on the pillow. Note that mine is not.

Wild Sow Sleeping in the Tall Grass542 viewsLooks more like the African jungle than sunny Worcestershire. The wild boar wrap themselves in tall grass, and almost make a nest for themselves.

A Berkshire Pig15944 viewsWe once raised Gloucester Old Spot pigs -- until everyone started doing it. I could never understand why the GOS pig had been bred so that its ears covered its eyes. With the Berkshire pig, the ears stand up and the pig is quite majestic.

Garden Path at Kealaolu Avenue, Kahala392 viewsNana and my mother, Shirley, examining the flowers on the garden path at Kealaolu Avenue in Kahala. My guess is this is from the mid 1940's. Nana and Baba sold their Kealaolu Avenue house circa 1947, and felt they had enough money to move into a hotel for the rest of their lives. And that's what they did: they moved into the Niumalu Hotel, on the site of the present Hilton Hawaiian Village. That lasted about a year.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4084 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
