| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

View Up The Track - North454 viewsLooking north up the track (and public footpath 578). The Lucies Farm Luxury Dog Resort is on the right (east). Our boundary line is to the left of this photograph -- not visible. I took a photograph from the same spot, with me turned around 180 degrees.

Preparing the Picanha1010 viewsMarjorie has cut cross-hatches on the fat layer of the picanha, and is about to rub salt onto the meat (and particularly into the cuts). When cooking the meat, it's important not to pierce it -- in doing so, the juices will escape.

Kiko in the Garden203 viewsMay 1, 2007 -- Kiko's 12th Birthday. He'd had surgery about a month earlier to remove part of his lung: biopsies, x-rays, and CAT scans had been inconclusive. Unfortunately he had lung cancer. He was fine up until his birthday. He wanted to spend most of the day outside -- fortunately it was warm and sunny. He came in at 7:00 PM, and then died, with Marjorie and me with him, at 11:00 PM. On the couch, his favourite place.

Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
