| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Shoe Shine Boy908 viewsBaba (my maternal grandfather) loved to build make-believe forts for me, using rope and blankets. Here I am with a fort, but I seem to be preoccupied with the shining of shoes. I think the radio (is that what it is?) in the background is amazing.

Here Comes Spice1319 viewsSpice, a Golden Retriever, loves to swim, so coaxing her into the pool was easy --- just toss in her ball. Spice's owner, and our veterinary surgeon (Richard Chamings), is the gentleman standing and watching. I think he thought he'd manage to stay dry.

Pig Roast -- Royal Show 2005228 viewsEnd of the last day of the Royal Show. This pig roast doesn't look hugely inviting.

WMF Gondolier Centrepiece295 viewsI am told it's quite unusual to have the original glass bowl with this piece. The bowl is quite delicate, and a strange shape --- and it has lasted (with just a few chips on the edges) for over 100 years. And at least two trips across the Atlantic. We purchased this piece in Buenos Aires.

McDonald's Fresh Garden Salad201 viewsPhotographed on our table at the McDonald's on Hylton Road, Worcester. This is the second salad: Marjorie couldn't eat the first one. The helpful staff said this one had been "freshly made." It appears to be made from old ingredients. It certainly doesn't look like the salad pictured on their website, or at the counter.

Sally Getting a Doggie Cookie174 viewsMarjorie and I use doggie cookies when we photograph (or, more accurately, try to photograph the doggie guests. Sally didn't really want to sit and wait for the cookie: she climbed up into Marjorie's lap and pretty much demanded it.

Where did I get that sweater?4760 viewsAn old photo of me at RPI -- circa 1966 or 1967. A friend of mine found this online in another classmate's photo gallery. I remember that sweater -- I thought it was wonderful.May 26, 2013

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4083 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
