| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Our Room at the Hotel Plaza, Torino222 viewsWe were able to find a hotel room in Torino for our last two nights at the Olympics. Our hotel, the grandly-named Hotel Plaza, was clean and remarkably inexpensive. But the room was also very, very "compact."

Pippa and Jessie249 viewsWe tried to take photos of Pippa out in the garden, but she was having none of that. The moment I tried to put my camera to my eye, she shuttled out of range. A Greta Garbo dog! But she didn't mind the camera in the dog resort. Pippa (a Hungarian Viszla) and Jessie (a Hamiltonstovare) wait for doggie biscuits. (See shadow on right of photograph.)

Westbrook Settles In3164 viewsWe picked up Westbrook Peter Lad 1st on May 18, 2005. It was his birthday --- he's 11 weeks old. We had an uneventful ride down from his original home in Little Hereford, and he's settled in nicely. We have him in a large stable until he grows a bit larger and can be put out with the bigger pigs.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4075 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
