| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Westbrook5295 viewsWestbrook is a Berkshire pig boar. He currently lives in the tall grass of the chicken field. I sat down to take his photograph and he wanted to take large bites out of my legs, arm, and (especially) shoes. He's getting big and strong, so I suspect my sitting on the ground with him will be a thing of the past.

Statue of Liberty from the Deck of the QE2358 viewsArriving in New York City by large ocean liner is thrilling. This was a warm spring day, April 1991. It was the first crossing of the year for the QE2 and we were a day late because we encountered 55 foot waves in the North Atlantic. The Statue of Liberty is in the distance.

Me Sitting Outside The Ticket Office with Diego277 viewsWe never would have found this small porta-cabin --- the main ticket office for the opening ceremony of the Olympics --- were it not for Diego. The ticket folks brought me a chair and put me on some gravel (at least in the sunshine) while they tried to sort out the buraucracy. Although we paid 30 Euros for courier service, and sent four e-mail messages and made four telephone calls, they "forgot" to print our two tickets.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4083 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
