WMF Gondolier Bowl4834 viewsWe purchased this large centrepiece bowl --- made from silver-plated "Britannia Metal" (pewter) in the late 1800's --- in Buenos Aires in 1995. As there's no room for it at Whitecroft, we've put it up for sale on eBay.

Christmas 2004 - The Aftermath394 viewsCathy and John wrapped all of our presents in matching Christmas fabric --- they were beautiful. But we managed to get the shredder paper from the box all over the floor, and then it clogged the vacuum cleaner.

The Canal Path715 viewsA bit overgrown along what I call "the canal path," so this photo doesn't really show the water. We had to put the temporary wire fence in (left of photograph) as the dogs kept going into the water and duck weed. I took this photo to show the garden centre our empty trellis on the right. We've had honeysuckle there (yuck), and roses that haven't grown well. Marjorie wants a purple flower we've seen in our rambling.

The Ezeedog264 viewsThis gentleman was demonstrating the Ezeedog, a complicated plastic device that you blow up (to create a firm "handle") and you then put the scroop part beneath, er, your dog's behind at the critical moment. The whole thing is then thrown away. It was all very clever, but seemed a bit complicated to me.

Marjorie Comforting Kiko183 viewsKiko is waiting to be seen by the veterinarian at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket. He had an MRI for a suspicious dark patch in his lung. The biopsy showed it was necrotic tissue, but apparently not a tumor.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4077 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
