Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake.

Chase and my Teddy Bear519 viewsI think this is a great picture of Chase, and it's the last known photo of my teddy. The teddy was purchased at the gift shop in Kapiolani Maternity Hospital the day I was born. It had a red felt tounge and wooden eyes. It went with me to university (my mother hid it in my suitcase). When Marjorie and I moved to the U.K. in 1986, Chase asked if she could keep it. And then my ex-wife, the Rev. Marcia, made Chase give it away. Lost teddies. Stinky ex-wives.1 comments

Marjorie 1 At Starbucks in South Australia1466 viewsCathy wrote, "Did my daughterly duty yesterday and took Mother to Colonades which is near where she lives, I think I did some 120 kms just doing that. We had coffee at Starbucks, the first one opened in South Australia and it has to be miles from where I live, oh well just need to wait until they open more nearer me."

Marjorie on the Train from Birmingham to Malvern193 viewsWe worked in Birmingham for a decade and never took the train from Birmingham to home. Here's Marjorie, riding backwards (which she hates), on an extremely crowded mid-day, mid-week train. It was truly awful -- I suspect a train in any third world country would be better. Our first trip from Birmingham to Malvern Link. And our last.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4073 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
