| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Powick Fete - Marjorie Giving Emilia a Hamburger410 viewsWe were pleased to help the local Powick Parish Church by selling our Scottish | Kobe hamburgers at the fete. Despite the wind, we were able to raise 120 for the Church in a few hours. And serve some delicious burgers. (I wonder how many other parishes have Scottish | Kobe burgers?)

Pigs in a Line352 viewsGood Friday morning, 2004. The pigs are in a nice chorus line, from left to right: the "original" Kune Kune, the Kune - Gloucester Old Spot cross (how did that happen?), the sinister Iron Age pig (now quite an elderly lady), and the Sinister - GOS cross.

Merlin -- A bit of Guernsey | Kobe6065 viewsWe recently purchased Carole, a pure-bred Guernsey cow, as our "house cow." The farmers who sold us Carole are getting out of the dairy business, so their bull, Merlin, was set to go to the chop. The Guernsey Cattle Society tells me Guernsey beef is delicious, so Merlin has had a bit of a reprieve. He gets to eat grain and grass and drink beer --- for a year.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4071 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
