| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Tamworth Pig Eating Cake4299 viewsThere's a bit of a story about the Retired Greyhound Trust, their PR firm, and the 30th Anniversary cake. We've had this bone-shaped cake sitting in the kitchen for weeks and weeks so finally thought --- pigs! Here one of our Tamworth pigs takes the first bite out of the cake, going for the logo bit.

Merlin -- A bit of Guernsey | Kobe6066 viewsWe recently purchased Carole, a pure-bred Guernsey cow, as our "house cow." The farmers who sold us Carole are getting out of the dairy business, so their bull, Merlin, was set to go to the chop. The Guernsey Cattle Society tells me Guernsey beef is delicious, so Merlin has had a bit of a reprieve. He gets to eat grain and grass and drink beer --- for a year.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4084 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
