| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

27th Police District, St. Petersburg226 viewsMarjorie going into the 27th Police District to report the theft of my camera --- for the second time. The first form they gave us, right after the incident, was just a lost-and-found form, so we had to enlist the help of our hotel, and go back a second day. The inside of the police station looks like the waiting room for the Gulag.

Award Winning Chicken481 viewsThe gorgon who yelled at me about taking photos in the poultry tent thought that I would "stress" the birds. I would suggest that putting them in a small cage in a hot tent filled with other unfamiliar chickens and ducks and even turkeys, and then add thousands of people, would stress them more than a 1/100 exposure. Does this guy look stressed?

Surfin' the Severn Bore339 viewsThis is the large wave (bore) coming up stream, photographed from the Severn Bore Pub. They actually surf the wave, and ride kayaks, etc. Marjorie and I were surprised (although I don't know why) at how muddy the water was. Guess this isn't Makaha.

Battleship Aurora235 viewsOn October 25 1917 the battleship Aurora was ordered to take to sea. At 9:45 PM a blank shot fired from her forecastle signaled the start of the assualt on the Winter Palace, which is said to be the start of the October Revolution that led to the overthrow of the Czar. Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4088 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
