Hawaiian Island Flowers & Foliage - HIFF403 viewsThis was Nana's florist business. It was almost eight acres of nursery, plus a retail florist, all located on what is now the freeway interchange in Moanalua. Tourists walked through the gardens in the back, which were gorgeous. HIFF provided the flowers for many of the Elvis movies in Hawaii. I loved the place because it had lots of padlocks that came with lots of keys.

The Six Pears383 viewsWe bought these six pears from Solstice in London. They're from France, and the tips of the stems have been sealed with red wax. But the pears looked a bit beat up when they arrived (I took this photograph shortly after we opened the box). They taste great --- but I'm not overly fond of all the cuts and bruises.

At last, an English newspaper270 viewsAboard the Norfolk Line on our way from Dunkirk to Dover. We really tried hard to make the noon sailing but an overturned truck not far from Dunkirk lost us valuable time and it wasn't even on our side of the road. They rubber neck everywhere!!
