| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Log Pile501 viewsI wish I could say that this log pile is outside our house. This is our goal. We seem, however, to always have a pile of logs in a black plastic bin.

The North Atlantic From Our Cabin on the QE2254 viewsOur cabin was at the top of the ship, so it really rock-and-rolled in the high seas. This was the first crossing of the North Atlantic by the QE2 in 1991, and we encountered 55 foot seas. The stabilisers had to be retracted, and we sailed to the south in a futile effort to avoid the worst of the weather. We were a day late arriving in New York City.

UK302940 200038 born 4 Feb 03210 viewsTo view the pedigree of the cow, UK302940 200038, please click here. Photographed at Bredons Norton on 5 Nov 05, before Mom was separated from her calf. I suspect she was at the stage where she was pleased to say good-bye.

Ross on the Stage296 viewsAt the Manchester Opera House. Ross was first walked onto the stage with no props, set, etc. The cable attached to the harness around Ross' chest was designed to stop him from running and falling into (say) the orchestra pit. But, in the final analysis, he was incredibly well-behaved.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4086 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
