| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Balamory -- Exhausted by Ross219 viewsIt was a warm afternoon and this young Highland heifer was just moved up to the field near the house. Ross, the older bull, ran her all around the field --- and she was panting at the end of the unsuccessful courtship ritual.

Ross In Pursuit of the Heifer167 viewsRoss was quite interested in this heifer Balamory (UK311538-300001). She's quite small, but she is over two years old (born 6 January 2006) so should be interested in Ross' attention. She wasn't.

Casey146 viewsMy, what big teeth you have. This is a photo taken with what Marjorie can I call the "big nose" lens. It might just be me, but "big nose" photographs always make me smile. Casey, on the other hand, just wanted the doggie treat held above the lens. (And she got it.)

Early November sunset172 viewsI was at my desk and Kiko barked (once) at the conservatory door to be let in. I looked over and he was bright red. I thought he'd fallen into some sort of paint, and then I saw he was red from the sunset. I got my camera and my cane and hobbled around the garden taking these photographs. I've lived at Whitecroft since 1989, and it was the most gorgeous sunset I've seen. Thanks, Kiko.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4068 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
