| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Interior of Martley Parish Church242 viewsOrgan on the left, and 14th century trompe l’oeil painting on right. This painting "was common enough in later periods, especially in Renaissance Italy, but it is very unusual to find it in an ordinary parish church of this period. This was made by a very highly-skilled painter indeed. [...] The 'Stoning and Roses' pattern of unusual delicacy, with a stemmed flower in each illusionistic brick."

Chase and my Teddy Bear439 viewsI think this is a great picture of Chase, and it's the last known photo of my teddy. The teddy was purchased at the gift shop in Kapiolani Maternity Hospital the day I was born. It had a red felt tounge and wooden eyes. It went with me to university (my mother hid it in my suitcase). When Marjorie and I moved to the U.K. in 1986, Chase asked if she could keep it. And then my ex-wife, the Rev. Marcia, made Chase give it away. Lost teddies. Stinky ex-wives.

Burj al Arab Hotel -- Dubai9715 viewsPhotographed from the beach at the Madinat Jumeirah. The Burj al Arab -- Tower of the Arabs -- rises above the Arabian Sea, and was built to look like a sail. The right side of the hotel is made from Kevlar, the bullet-proof material. Look at the crowd on the beach.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4023 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
