Merlin -- A bit of Guernsey | KobeПереглядів: 5991We recently purchased Carole, a pure-bred Guernsey cow, as our "house cow." The farmers who sold us Carole are getting out of the dairy business, so their bull, Merlin, was set to go to the chop. The Guernsey Cattle Society tells me Guernsey beef is delicious, so Merlin has had a bit of a reprieve. He gets to eat grain and grass and drink beer --- for a year.

During the late Hellenistic and Imperial period local worthies engaged in what seems to us now a fantastic orgy of construction, carving Greco-Roman faades from the living rock. Marjorie stands near a few stone pillars.

Kiko and the BarbellПереглядів: 735We didn't think the bull terriers would like this barbell: it's made from tennis ball-type of material. Or we thought they'd tear it to bits in seconds. Kiko and Tapa love it, and it's managed to make it through the critical 10 minutes.

Sunapee Harbor - New HampshireПереглядів: 4028We took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor.
