The motor that should open and close the gate is on the right in this photograph. As is shown, the gate is exposed to the elements, and wind coming down the track and from the neighbour's field hits the gate staight on.

A picture of "Ralph the Diving Pig" and the woman he performed with was published in Chic magazine.
