Marjorie in the new TriangleПереглядів: 310In front of Woodman's Cottage, on the morning of Septmeber 19 2006. Our legal expenses to defend the action brought against us by Thomas Hawkins, the owner of the cottage, have topped Stg 42,000. We have prevailed in the litigation, and have been awarded reimbursement of our costs on an indemnity basis. Amazing: this little plot of land cost the same as two years (tuition, room, and board) at Harrow or Eton.

Power Cables in Our TrackПереглядів: 159On the afternoon of August 23 2006 there was a huge downpour punctuated with thunder and lightning. Then the power went off. Normally the cause of an electrical failure is somewhere distant and unknown. But on the 23rd the downed cables were in our track. Repairing the cables looked like it would take two weeks --- but it took about six hours.
