We went to Sbarro as it was all that was open. I wanted spaghetti with meatballs, but they only had the meatballs. So I had meat lasagna, and the kind Sbarro man cut a meatball in quarters and hid it under my lasagna. The girls had vegetable lasagna which they ate in full, despite the absence of a smuggled meatball.

According to our title deeds, recorded at Land Registry, the property line runs along the right-hand side (eastern) of Woodman's Cottage. The red line in this photograph approximates the boundary, so it would appear --- subject to further work by our surveyor --- that the trees, etc. to the right of the line are part of our property.

The Arrival -- Honoluluvista 6121 vecesMy parents met at Leyland Powers, a school of theater and broadcast in Boston (long gone, I'd guess -- Google comes up with nothing). They drove across country and then took a plane (shown) to meet my maternal grandparents in Hawaii. On the way, they got married in Nevada. This photo shows Birdie (my aunt), my father, mother, and grandmoter at Honolulu Airport, summer 1948. I can imagine it was an interesting arrival.

I love the PanAm attendants doing things at the gate itself. No air bridges. My father with Nana: not sure who's going where.

Whitecroft -- The Outdoor Poolvista 191 vecesWe haven't been in the outdoor pool since I can remember: my guess is circa 1995 or so. We had the liner changed about three or four years ago, so the water was changed then, but the liner installation was terrible and we never "opened" the pool. It's so gross now that we're at least cleaning it out. Lots of power washing and diluting with fresh, clean water.
