Severn Bore - 2003316 زيارةWe'd lived near the River Severn for a long time and had never seen the Severn Bore. It's a big wave that comes up river usually once each month. Customarily, only two of the annual bores are really big --- and this was one of them. We had breakfast at (where else?) the Severn Bore Pub.

Surfin' the Severn Bore305 زيارةThis is the large wave (bore) coming up stream, photographed from the Severn Bore Pub. They actually surf the wave, and ride kayaks, etc. Marjorie and I were surprised (although I don't know why) at how muddy the water was. Guess this isn't Makaha.

Severn Bore - Awaiting Breakfast and Wave433 زيارةWe made breakfast reservations at the Severn Bore Pub and got up really early. The plan was to have breakfast-then-bore, but they were so crowded we had to wait until after the "event" to have our fry-up.

Chase and my Teddy Bear433 زيارةI think this is a great picture of Chase, and it's the last known photo of my teddy. The teddy was purchased at the gift shop in Kapiolani Maternity Hospital the day I was born. It had a red felt tounge and wooden eyes. It went with me to university (my mother hid it in my suitcase). When Marjorie and I moved to the U.K. in 1986, Chase asked if she could keep it. And then my ex-wife, the Rev. Marcia, made Chase give it away. Lost teddies. Stinky ex-wives.

Joe in his favourite place -- the small stream537 زيارةJoe loves mud. The more of it, the merrier. The small stream that runs through our property was a source of constant enjoyment for Joe.

Lord's Wood Sewage Problem403 زيارةUnfortunately, Lord's Wood Cottage (not under our ownership) is draining unprocessed sewage into Lord's Wood. This may have been the accepted practice in the past, but it crates a foul smell and health hazard just inside the woodland. We are working with the Malvern Hills District Council to remedy this.
