The Tamworth Onevu 301 foisOne of our three new Tamworth ladies. The grass is still green --- they've only been on it for three days. In three weeks it will be a sea of mud. As they've been raised by the City of Gloucester in a "petting zoo" environment, they're very easy to handle.

The Tamworth Twovu 364 foisGood Friday, 2004. These two Tamworth pigs --- sisters --- recently arrived at Lucies Farm from the City of Gloucester. They are enjoying the green grass of spring, but won't take long to convert it into mud.

Aberdeen Angus Bull & Gloucester Cowvu 474 foisOur Aberdeen Angus bull, Rull Balletcruz B012, enjoys a summer meal with Betty, our Gloucester cow. The story of Gloucester cows is quite interesting: in 1972 there were only 68 Gloucester cattle in the world. Please visit the Gloucester Cattle Society website. Note the roof thatcher in the background.

Kune Kune - Gloucester Crossvu 5289 foisDon't ask me how, but somehow Chase's kune kune pigs mated with our Gloucester Old Spot boar, and this piggy is the result. When I tried to take her photo she kept trying to hide behind the water trough. I guess I can't blame her for not wanting to have her photo snapped.

In the Four Acre Fieldvu 8622 foisThree different types of pigs: in the foreground, the large black pig is a fairly elderly (but hugely fast) Iron Age - Gloucester Old Spot cross. The red pig is a pure Tamworth, and the piglet coming out of the ark is a Berkshire.
