Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake.

View from our room - Holiday Inn Garden Court, Helsinki290 viewsThe airport hotel wasn't right next to the airport -- it was a cab ride away. And it was "nestled" in this lovely warehouse district. This is the view from our room. Fortunately, we were only here for the night.

Kiko's Nose687 viewsI think Kiko's nose is great. I like the little black lower lip as well. It almost looks like Kiko polishes his nose when we're not looking.

The Duck Pond - July 2007197 viewsHey, this is supposed to be summer. The worst rains I've seen in 20+ years here. Our duck pond turned dark brown, but fortunately the stream that carries the water away was able to handle the increased volume.

The Six Pears370 viewsWe bought these six pears from Solstice in London. They're from France, and the tips of the stems have been sealed with red wax. But the pears looked a bit beat up when they arrived (I took this photograph shortly after we opened the box). They taste great --- but I'm not overly fond of all the cuts and bruises.1 comments

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4070 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
