| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Sunset from our Bedroom Window117 viewsI was sitting at my desk on Easter Monday when I looked up and saw the most gorgeous sunset. I got the camera and slowly hobbled up the stairs, and took this photograph from the window just over our bed. It shows the view over our neighbour's back yard, looking towards the Malvern Hills. (Pity about the electrical wires in the distance.)

Westbrook Having A Laugh976 viewsWestbrook is a Berkshire boar, or kurobuta ("black pig") in Japanese. I think happy animals produce the best meat --- and happy animals make us all happy. Westbrook is a happy pig, with a good sense of humour. And one of our alpacas is in love with him, and follows him everywhere.

McDonald's Fresh Garden Salad199 viewsPhotographed on our table at the McDonald's on Hylton Road, Worcester. This is the second salad: Marjorie couldn't eat the first one. The helpful staff said this one had been "freshly made." It appears to be made from old ingredients. It certainly doesn't look like the salad pictured on their website, or at the counter.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4051 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
