| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Breakfast at the Burj al Arab Hotel5077 viewsMarjorie having breakfast. We were surrounded by plants from Hawaii (or from tropical islands) like the naupaka. The poor things were struggling: I suspect the humidity is too low in Dubai, or it's too hot -- or both.

Grandfather, Chase, and Marcia - Christmas 1985628 viewsFunny, although this picture is almost 20 years old, I can still see Grandfather sitting on that couch, eating cheese and crackers. We still have the leather chair (and the ottoman with Chase's Christmas pony). We moved the couch to England, and sat on it in The Limes. Chase sure looks happy!

Marjorie and Cathy - Heathrow337 viewsCathy leaving to return to Australia after her two-week visit. Her Singapore Airlines flight delayed by two hours. We went to Sbarro as it was all that was open. I wanted spaghetti with meatballs, but they only had the meatballs. So I had meat lasagna, and the kind Sbarro man cut a meatball in quarters and hid it under my lasagna. The girls had vegetable lasagna which they ate in full, despite the absence of a smuggled meatball.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4063 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
