Power Cables in Our Track135 odsłonOn the afternoon of August 23 2006 there was a huge downpour punctuated with thunder and lightning. Then the power went off. Normally the cause of an electrical failure is somewhere distant and unknown. But on the 23rd the downed cables were in our track. Repairing the cables looked like it would take two weeks --- but it took about six hours.

The DVD's From The States238 odsłonMarjorie and I miss "Survivor" and "Amazing Race," neither of which are shown in the UK. (Although they've recently started to show the latter here.) I found a gentleman on Elance to record the two programmes for me on DVD's. As you can see, we're not exactly on top of watching them.
