Fizzy and Poppy in Their SuiteПереглядів: 183The "cubby" is raised, and has under-floor heating in the front half (adjustable by individual thermostat). The half-heating allows our doggie guests to regulate their temperature: if they're cool, they can move forward. If warm, they move a bit back.

The Old and The NewПереглядів: 228The magnolia tree in our front garden -- a new blossom, and an old. The magnolia is an ancient genus that evolved before bees appeared. The flowers are designed to be pollinated by beetles. This is a Southern Magnolia, or Magnolia grandiflora.
