| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

The Great January 2004 Storm342 viewsWe'd been warned for several days (including full page newspaper articles) that the Great Storm was coming. And, of course, the weather was beautiful. But the storm finally hit on January 28 2004, and lasted precisely ten minutes. This is our front garden at Whitecroft viewed through the snow.

Elvis Looking Quite Pleased With Himself409 viewsIt was a warm, sunny English summer day. After his walk, Barbara and Vic had Elvis out on the lawn to play ball, or see if he wanted to play with the sprinkler/hose. But Elvis really wanted to play-wrestle with Vic.

Hmm, how do I get out of this?281 viewsLord Rannoch, our Highland bull, smashed through the thick (and, we thought, sturdy) wooden fence while we were watching to take on Ballet Cruz, an Aberdeen Angus bull. Poor move, Rannoch. This shows that horns are no match for a size and youth. Fortunately, only Rannoch's pride was injured. Zbig and Gregorz ran into the fray (sort of) and separated the two angry bulls.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4070 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
