Sewage on Colletts Green Road502 x bekekenHigh rates, undersized sewers. We have complained about this for years, but get the old "budget" story. The sewers were probably fine until the housing estate was built. No increased resources were put into the sewer, so the water bubbles up on Colletts Green Road, and then flows away into the River Severn through the run-off system.

Today we went to have a look, and there really is a ferry that runs several times a day from this beautiful spot on the River Avon (actually near the motorway) to Tewkesbury. That's Bredon Hill in the background.

Underwater Pig3136 x bekekenTo take the swimming Tamworth pig photo, the pig had to be gently pushed into the heated pool. Marjorie, in full SCUBA gear and with an underwater camera and strobe, waited for the pig to, er, fall. I was surprised at how quickly the pig sank. He then soared to the surface, like a submarine in a Sean Connery movie that's blown its ballast.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4070 x bekekenWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor.
