Fallen headstones, St Matthias, Malvern Link, Worcestershire205 views"Tip" is a big problem for gravestones in the UK. There are even special "tip" meters used in graveyards to try to ascertain which stones are in danger of falling. At St. Matthias the fallen stones are put up against one of the walls of the graveyard.

Whitecroft Lawn - Spring 1991175 viewsWe hired Corscadden Associates, a firm of landscape architects in Wales, to improve the undulations in our lawn, and to make our pond more visible from the house. They did a detailed specification, obtained bids, and recommended the low bidder. Unfortunately, the low bidder's plan was to simply scrape away all of our topsoil and plant turf on the clay. The turf all drowned, and we had another firm do the replacement --- paid for by Corscadden's professional indemnity insurance. This is the original work, with the front of Whitecroft (and well) on the left.
