Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake.

Martley Parish Church cemetery201 viewsOld gravestones are used as a retaining wall for the soil around this tree. I realise that "topple" is a problem with gravestones in British cemeteries, but using old stones as a wall seems a bit unfortunate to me.

A Berkshire Pig15912 viewsWe once raised Gloucester Old Spot pigs -- until everyone started doing it. I could never understand why the GOS pig had been bred so that its ears covered its eyes. With the Berkshire pig, the ears stand up and the pig is quite majestic.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4037 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
